WAIVER STATEMENT
In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I for myself, my heirs and personal representatives, waive and release Alion Science and Technology, Alion Cares, Light the Night Foundation, Kale Running, Peninsula Running Services,  Harvey Lindsey, The City of Newport News, its principals, all sponsors and their representatives from any and all claims of damages, demands, actions whatsoever in any manner, as a result of my, my heirs, ward, child's participation in the Peninsula Pumpkin Run 5K race. I attest and verify that I, my heirs, child, ward is physically fit and has sufficiently trained to complete this event. I agree to abide by any decision made by a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risk associated with running this event including, but not limited to, falls, contacts with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat and humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me, my heirs, ward, child. I understand that my entry fee is non-refundable and my, my heirs, ward, child's bib number is nontransferable. I further understand that I, my heirs, ward, child will run on the race course as laid out and I, my heirs, ward, child will be eliminated from competition if I am not on the prescribed race course. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my likeness for any purpose whatsoever. This is a road race conducted under the rules of RRCA & USATF. It is not intended for individuals with headphones, strollers not designed for running, dogs on leashes, skateboards, skates or rollerblades.
